A variation of the award-winning DW Edge® snare drum (U.S. Patent #5377576), the DW Top Edge™ is designed to offer a bit more "woodsy" warmth thanks hybrid predecessor. The solid brass top ring is cast and machined in California to exacting specifications, then precisely pressfit onto any available DW Custom Shop wood species—each wood type providing varying tonal characteristics.
This is a new old-stock drum was taken out of its factory box, photographed, and then resealed in the original box.
There is some minor pitting on the chrome hardware (photographed).
